AP&C Advanced Powders & Coatings

AP&C (Advanced Powder & Coatings) is manufacturer of Titanium and Ti-alloys as well as other refractory metals and superalloys. Powders are produced by the unique Plasma-Wire-Atomization and are characterized by highest cleanliness, lowest oxygen contents and extraordinary spherical particles shape, free from satellites and other surface defects. This results in good flowability so that the powders are ideally suited for MIM, HIP, thermal spraying and in particular for all additive manufacturing processes (AM)

Since beginning of 2014 AP&C is owned by Arcam Sweden, leading supplier of EBM-technology for AM and since beginning of 2017 are Arcam/AP&C part of GE Aviation.

AP&C is certified to AS9100. AP&C achieved certification according to ISO 13485 to produce powder products for the use in medical applications.

AT&M

Established by the Central Iron & Steel Research Institute (CISRI), AT&M underwent a successful IPO on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange in 2000. AT&M has been engaged in atomized powders for more than 40 years and provides the full range of powder manufacturing technology from open air and vacuum gas atomization  to conventional water- and high pressure water atomization. The latter one is particularly suitable for making extra fine powders in large volumes. The scope of powders covers Fe-, Ni- and Co-base alloys.

After modernization and expansion of the powder fabrication, AT&M provides a capacity of more than 4.000 tons to support the continued strong growth rates of the MIM-industry on a long
 term-basis.

Eurotungstene

Located in Grenoble, the birthplace of the Powder Metallurgy in France, Eurotungstene has been specialized in the manufacturing processes and usages of metallic powders for over 50 years. Thanks to its know-how and the quality of its products and is now recognized as a technological leader. Eurotungstene has built a long history based on the quality of its cobalt, tungsten, tungsten carbide and rhenium powders for the markets of high density materials (HD-Alloys), electrical contacts and cemented carbides and is also manufacturer of NEXT®, the renowned first industrial ultra-fine pre-alloyed powder.

Since April 2017, Eurotungstene is owned by Umicore Cobalt & Special Materials.

In 2009 bmv had been appointed the exclusive agent in Germany and Austria of Eurotungstene’s powder products used by Metal Injection Moulding (MIM).

Hilderbrand & Cie Sa

Hilderbrand & Cie SA is head-quartered in Thônex just outside Geneva/Switzerland and has produced precious metal powders by gas atomization for over 20 years. Until 1999, these powders were exclusively applied for Hilderbrand’s own brazing pastes. With the growing market demand for precious metal in powder form for other applications, such as Metal Injection Moulding (MIM), Thermal Spraying, Press & Sinter Technology, Rapid Tooling etc., further atomizing, classification and analytical equipment have been added over time to increase both, technical capabilities and capacities.

Hilderbrand is certified according to ISO 9002 since 1999.

In April 08, bmv became Hilderbrand’s official distributor in Germany for precious metal powders applied by MIM, Thermal Spraying, Rapid Tooling or other similar technologies.
